Jochi provides a platform that is used by school administrators and teachers in connection with the services they provide. When Jochi collects, processes, or hosts personal information on behalf schools or teachers, it is doing so as a service provider or processor, and not on its own behalf. This Policy does not govern how that personal information is collected and used. You should see the school, administrator, or other controlling privacy policy for information on their data practices.

Student Account Information may include name, grade, school, username, and password of student-users of the platform. We collect this information for the purposes of account creation and maintenance, analytics and research, customer service, providing the Services, and website security and maintenance.

Teacher Account and Contact Information includes first name, last name, email address, telephone number, school, school district, school address, grade level and curriculum from teachers, school administrators, and other school officials that use the Services. We collect this information when you provide it directly to us such as signing up for the Services, signing up for newsletters, requesting information about Jochi services, creating an account, or filling out a form. We collect this information for the purposes of account creation and maintenance, advertising and marketing, analytics and research, customer service, providing the Services, and website security and maintenance.

User-Generated Content. If you post, upload, comment, or otherwise submit content on the Services, we may collect certain information about you such as your name and email address and products you may have purchased. Be aware that as a default, any information you post on the Services, including without limitation reviews, comments, and text, may be available to and searchable by all users of the Services. Collection of Children’s Information. Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. Some of our Services may be used by children under 13 years of age. Jochi does not ask for or require children to provide personal information beyond that which is reasonably necessary to support the operation of Jochi’s Services.

We will obtain your consent via your child’s teacher or school administrator who can provide consent on your behalf. When we obtain consent via your child’s teacher or school administrator we will do so only if information is used for a school-authorized educational purpose and for no other commercial purpose.

When you or your child’s teacher or school administrator registers or creates an account for our Services on behalf of your child and the teacher or school administrator consents on your behalf, we will collect the information listed in this Policy from you about your child. We may also collect certain information from you (the parent or guardian), as required by law or regulation. The information we collect about children under 13 may include first name, last name or initial, email, password, and metrics relating to school performance.
